WHAT IS NUTRITION COACHING?
Nutrition coaching is not solely about teaching you how to read labels. It is much more complex!
Benefits of nutrition coaching are:
- An individualized experience, based on your values, priorities, goals, and mindset.
- Becoming familiar with basic nutrition and exercise.
- Learning to recognize physical and mental progress.
- Improving athletic capability.
- Identifying social triggers, such as stress & relationships.
- Outcome based decision making, adjusting nutritional requirements as needed.
- Habit Tracking
What does all that fancy wording mean?
Every single person I coach has a different game plan. Are you a new mom, wanting to improve your post-baby body? Are you an athlete, wanting to concentrate on your performance? Are you obese, wanting to throw all those medications away by getting healthier? This program gets results, and you can do it with guidance and support!
Your progress will be charted by weekly weigh-ins, phone/text/video check-ins to target problems and address small improvements. Monthly photos will help us analyze physical changes, without relying solely on the scale. Everyone progresses at different rates- some see improvements on the scale first, others can tell by how their clothes fit.
If you're still on the fence and dreading another "diet", you'll be excited about this part: This is not a fad diet. You will not be hungry, and will not be miserable on this plan.
How is that possible? This plan focuses on eating/drinking a specific amount of carbs, fat, and protein (called macros) each day. Your macro allowance will be calculated by factors such as your job type, daily activity, and how intense/consistent your workout routines are.
Being able to eat food you enjoy keeps you from falling off the deep end. You'll learn how to eat in moderation, and eventually fine-tune your choices to enjoy healthier food, which keeps you full longer. Baby steps make the difference!
Take the leap, and make the change!! Where could you be next month? 3 months? The time to start is now!
